KL Swimmers did us proud in 31st SEA GAMES 2022 IN HANOI

 


KL swimmers once again brought glory to the association as they have performed their best during the 31st SEA Games 2022 in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Representing Malaysia, Steve Khiew won Gold in 200m freestyle event with a new PB of 1:47.81 upsetting Singaporean swimmer Quah Zheng Wen who came  in second and Viet Phuoc Hoang Quy who came in third.

Steve's previous PB of 1:48.77 was clocked during the 64th Malaysia Open Swimming Championships in March 2022.




Steve Khiew wrapped up the 31st SEA Games 2022 in Hanoi with 1 Gold , 3 Silver (200m back, 400m free & 4x200m free relay) & 1 bronze (800m free). A multi-coloured achievement and KL is proud of of Steve.



Meanwhile, Bryan Leong, flown from his university in UK direct to Hanoi to join the swimming contingent for SEA Games 2022. He swam the 50m free event with a commendable timing, despite not being able to position himself on the podium, he broke the Malaysia national record for 50m free event with a new time of 23.09.


Sebastian Soon, also did his personal best times in SEA Games as he swam to new PBs of 15:39.87 in the 1500m freestyle and 8:12.64 in 800m freestyle event.
